Patient Eligibility and Compatibility

Learn which patients are best suited for Proclaim.

How do I know if my patient is a Proclaim Candidate?

Proclaim is for the majority of patients with stable dentition.

Proclaim patients must have at least their 1st premolar or 2nd premolar or 1st molar in each quadrant.

Patients with the following are not currently eligible for Proclaim:

  • All-on-4 dental implants
  • Active orthodontic treatment
  • Jaws/teeth still growing/changing

Can patients with restorations use Proclaim?

Patients with dental appliances and restorations such as crowns, fillings, veneers, implants, permanent retainers, and partial dentures/bridges can use Proclaim. Just make sure to remove anything removable for the scan, and patients should also remove them when using Proclaim. If your patient has dental work done after they already have a mouthpiece, matching any new tooth structure to the old one will ensure that their mouthpiece will still fit.

Proclaim is designed to clean natural teeth and gums. If a patient has "all on 4" permanent implants, Proclaim will not work for them. Proclaim also does not clean under any permanent bridges, or do deeper cleaning for implants.
